The Powerhouse Gym runs a variety of classes throughout the week to help you keep in shape.

Choose from a selection of classes including Body Toning, Pilates, Step Aerobics, Tums/Bums & Thighs and Boxing Circuit Class.

All classes are run by fully qualified instructors.

 

TUMS/BUMS/THIGHS

Exactly what it says!

Works on those difficult areas to firm and tone- tummies, buttocks and inner and outer thighs. Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

Class time - 1 hour
Instructed by Helen Hamilton on Monday and Audrey Love on Thursday.
Class cost - £3.50

STEP AEROBICS

Step Aerobics is a fun and popular form of exercise and has been around since the 1980s'.

A Step Aerobic program will not only help metabolise fat, it will strengthen your muscles and increase your aerobic stamina.

Class time is 1 hour and instructed by Audrey Love. Class cost £3.50.

BODYTONING

This class consists of 30 minutes using resistance machines for toning all body areas and 30 minutes cardiovascular training using treadmills, bikes, crosstrainers and rowers. In this class you can train at your own level in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Bodytoning has been popular since the gym opened in 1990.

The class is one hour long and instructed by Adam. An 8 week course for non-members is £25.00 otherwise £3.50 per visit.

BOXING CIRCUIT

Boxing Circuit training is an excellent cardiovascular and muscle endurance workout. Using basic boxing skills and pad work to give the trainer a challenging physical workout.

The class is 1 hour long, instructed by Raymond Connell and costs £4.00.
